Former Executive Director for Cummins, Inc. Responsible
for global Indirect Purchasing and Risk Management. Functions included:
- Responsible for leading indirect purchasing cost containment teams
consisting of over 160 people that was credited with achieving over $100
million in annual savings. Teams consisted of Contractor Management, IT,
Freight, Healthcare, MRO – Integrated Supply, MRO – Tooling, Travel,
Packaging, Printing, Promotional Materials, Office Supplies, Healthcare,
Telecom, and Facilities. Total expense management exceeded $1 Billion.
Extensive experience in negotiating with IT vendors, airlines, insurance
companies, health care, MRO suppliers, office support services and etc.
Significant experience in Six Sigma improvement processes, including the IT
purchasing function. Oversaw much of the global indirect contracts on
a day to day basis.
- Participated as part of a select 12-member think tank team that
successfully took another $50 million of cost out of the company’s HR,
Finance & IT areas. Participated in the creation of Cummins Shared Services
group.
- Traveled the world consolidating, improving and reducing the cost of the
Global Risk Management program.
Prior to Cummins, Mr. DeBolt was Risk Manager for Guardian Industries Corp., held various account executive and
actuarial positions at Marsh, Inc., the worlds largest insurance
broker.
